COMMENTS
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
MEDIA
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Subscriber information is retained in the local database indefinitely for analytic tracking purposes and for future export. Data will be exported or removed upon user’s request. Data is retained in MailPoet and/or MailerLite until unsubscribed or deleted and will be removed upon user’s request.

AI Chatbot Conversations – When you interact with our AI chatbot, we collect the text you enter, the chatbot’s responses and any personal information you voluntarily provide (e.g., name, email, company details). We use this information to answer your questions, improve our services and analyse trends. Do not include sensitive personal data (medical, financial, etc.) in the chat.

Data Sharing and Retention
We may share your data with our AI providers and any integrations (e.g., Google Sheets/Make) that may receive chat transcripts:
OpenAI (for processing chat content) – state that it processes data in the U.S. and commits to security measures.
Integration services like Make.com and Google Sheets, if you automatically log leads from chats.
Retention periods for chat transcripts are kept for 12 Months for quality assurance and then deleted, unless a user requests deletion sooner.
Users may request deletion of chat transcripts we hold.
34 North does not use chat data to train AI models. This aligns with OpenAI’s default policy.
